Fun and games in the afternoon waves, windsurfing, long dives into the clear cold waters (no connection however to its name, "Pagon", which means ice, taken from the nearby village of Pagoi), fresh fish and lobster spaghetti. The long beautiful beach at Agios Georgios ton Pagon has room for everyone. Along the shore a fairly large resort complex has sprung up, mainly consisting of rental accommodation (mostly booked through foreign agencies) and tavernas.
The summer denizens are mainly low profile visitors from Central Europe, and of course local devotees of the Fisherman, one of the most unusual fish tavernas on the island, tucked away amid the olive trees, and operating without electricity. You will also get well-cooked fish or lobster spaghetti at Akrogiali, at the end of the shore. To get here, turn left off the main Corfu - Sidari road at the level of the village of Troumpeta.
