Roda beach is on the north coast of Corfu, 40km north-west of Corfu Town and airport and just 2 miles west of its neighbour Acharavi. Roda is a modern beach resort found at the western end of an enormous bay and is backed by mountains. Rapid growth has meant little remains of Roda as fishing village, though there are some narrow lanes and older buildings in the centre. Roda is now popular with families and couples looking for plenty of lively cheap bars and entertainment alongside the beach which is very safe for swimming.
Roda beach runs for just under a mile and the resort runs alongside, between the beach and the main road. THe beach is easily accessible; a mixture of sand and pebbles, the pebbly part nearer its neighbouring resort of Acharavi with which it is tending to merge.

Children and bathers enjoy Roda holidays for its safe, shallow and exceptional calm water that goes out a long way to sea. Fishing boats and boat trips leave from the jetty at one end of the beach. Roda do not have the liveliest nightlife on the island but it is fair to say the nightlife is pretty busy, with a lot of bars and restaurants staying open until late and discos catering for teenagers.
Roda includes water sports, walks or bike trips to inland villages, the waterpark at Acharavi and buses  to well-known nearby resorts like Sidari and Acharavi and the capital, Corfu Town (Kerkyra) with its Venetian architecture. Excursions on Roda holidays include boat trips to Erikoussa, Mathraki and Othoni, Lake Adanioti close to Kassiopi, exploration of inland Corfu villages and Corfu’s highest mountain Mount Pantokrator.
